VANESSA LANN

Born in Brooklyn in 1968, Vanessa Lann lives and works in the Netherlands as a high profile, frequently commissioned composer. Her music bristles with expository clarity, dense but never muddy textures, plus unexpected twists and turns of plot that are colored by inevitable whimsy. Lann was the subject of a television documentary for NPS in the Netherlands, and her music has been performed in numerous international festivals, as well as winning many awards
in recent years. A new multi-media production will be premiered at the Holland Dance Festival 2000.
