JENNY LIN

photo of jenny linFew pianists can claim Jenny Lin’s seasoned technique, committed musicianship, fresh programming ideas, and insatiable curiosity about where music is going, not to mention her steadfast advocacy of unfairly neglected keyboard masterworks of the past. Her performances have taken her to venues such as Carnegie Recital Hall, Kennedy Center, Miller Theatre, Myra
Hess Concerts, and The Phillips Collection, as well as Festival Archipel, Flanders Festival, Divonne Festival, and Festival Ars Musica, with groups such as Ensemble Contrechamps, the Millennium Festival Orchestra, the National Symphony of Taiwan, and the Flemish Radio Orchestra.
In September 2003, she appeared in a 21-piano concert with works by Daniele Lombardi at New York's World Financial Center Winter Garden,  a tribute to the victims of Sept. 11. Composers who've written for her include Sarana Chou, Boudewijn Cox, Donnacha Dennehy, Daniel Felsenfeld, Stefano Gervasoni, Arthur Kampela, Ma Shui-Long, Frank J. Oteri, Daniel Schroyens, Laura Elise Schwendinger, Johannes Maria Staud, Elliot Sharp and Wen Deqing. Her wide-ranging solo CD releases on the BIS and Hänssler Classics labels have garnered the highest praise in the New York Times, Classicstoday.com, and Gramophone. Jenny studied with Noel Flores at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna, with Julian Martin at the Peabody Conservatory (Artist Diploma) in Baltimore, and with Dominique Weber in Geneva. She has also worked with Richard Goode and Blanca Uribe in New York, and with Dimitri Bashkirov and Andreas Staier at the Fondazione Internazionale per il pianoforte in Cadenabbia, Italy.
