STEPHANIE KAI-WIN AND SAAR AHUVIA

Stephanie Ho and Saar Ahuvia are breathing fresh, contemporary air into the time-honored piano duo tradition, as they tour worldwide giving recitals and concerto programs. During their stint at the Peabody Institute of Music at Johns Hopkins, the pianists had the good fortune to be mentored by Leon Fleisher, who encouraged them
to explore Beethoven's string quartets in a piano duo setting.

In November 2005 Stephanie and Saar played Martinu's Concerto for Two Pianos with the Czech Republic's superb Pilsen Radio Symphony in Winterthur, Switzerland, and toured the US in 2007. They also completed a prestigious Performing Artist Residency at the Banff Centre in Canada.

The duo's repertoire covers everything from Beethoven and Bill Evans to Nancarrow and new works by composers such as Hywel Davies and Philippe Bodin, who've written especially for the pair. Stephanie and Saar teach at Concordia College and reside in New York City.
